Mentorship doesn't end when the final module is complete. Taking time to reflect on what you've learned, celebrate your accomplishments, and discuss next steps can help you carry the insights and connections from this experience into your future.Ìý

This optional session will help you reflect on your mentorship experience, identify key takeaways, and consider how you'll continue your academic and professional growth.

  • Reflect on your mentorship experience.
    • What has been your biggest takeaway from the mentorship program?
    • Which module or activity was the most valuable or impactful? Why?
    • How has the mentee's thinking about their academic or career path changed since the beginning of the program?
  • Discuss accomplishments and future goals.
    • What goals or accomplishments are you most proud of?
    • What are the mentee's next steps over the next 6–12 months?
    • How will the mentee continue developing professionally (networking, skill building, career exploration, etc.)?
  • Reflect on the mentoring relationship.
    • What advice or insight from the mentor has been most valuable?
    • Is there anything either participant would have done differently?
