We share our passion for science and long-term ecological research with school aged children and others through a combination of formal and informal education and outreach initiatives. We develop curriculum kits and teaching materials, host field trips, and co-run nature camps.Ìý
Since 1995, Wild Bear Nature Center has connected people of all ages to nature through hands-on education. What began with 25 children and founder Jill Dreves’ vision has grown into a thriving community resource serving thousands each year in the Peak-to-Peak region.
Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Science Discovery, founded in 1983, is a University of Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder outreach program connecting K–12 students and teachers to current science. It offers interactive, hands-on STEM experiences using Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô expertise, resources, and students to engage learners in real-world science.
Since 1982, Cal-Wood has connected hundreds of thousands to Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô’s mountains through environmental education, retreats, wildfire restoration efforts, and more. Its mission is to inspire appreciation for nature and expand access to outdoor learning for youth and adults.
