Welcome to Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Science Discovery,

a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)ÌýeducationÌýoutreach program atÌýthe University of Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder. Science DiscoveryÌýmanages programs that engage K-12 students andÌýteachers in STEM and connectÌýpublic audiencesÌýwith the STEM research happening at Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder. Science Discovery programs utilizeÌýÄ¢¹½Ó°Òô scientific expertise, equipment, resources and faculty, graduate andÌýundergraduate students in order to provide participantsÌýwith unique, experiential STEM learning experiences.

Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Science Discovery's monthly Ìýprogram (TSC) connects professional Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô scientists with high school students through fun, informal, and interactive experiences (with free food!). Cafés allow students to explore pathways in STEM, connect with role models, and be in the company of like-minded peers. Teens interested in exploring leadership opportunities are invited to apply to become part of the TSC Leadership Council (TSCLC). Applications encouraged by August 28, 2026.Ìý

We're excited to announce the details for the 2026-2027 FLL student roboticsÌýteam. With this being the final season of the FLL program, the competition is sure to be fierce, so students in grades 5-8 are invited to apply right away! This year’s theme is BIOGLOW, which will allow the team toÌýexperience the vibrancy of the world’s ecosystems. Express interest by Sunday, August 30, 2026.

📣 Attention homeschool families: This 11-week program runs from August 26-November 18 and will dive into the amazing world of the monarch butterfly! Young scientists will explore monarchs through engaging, project-based activities, interactive games, imaginative crafts, and outdoor adventures. Participants are sure to walk away feeling inspired and empowered to help protect the habitats and support the future of this beloved species.

Students in grades 4-6 are invited to slow down, get a closer look, and discover the natural world around them! In this afterschool program, we'll learn the fundamentals of nature journaling by combining observation, science, writing and art. Whether we're sketching the details of a tiny insect, recording sound maps, or documenting a cool bird behavior, we'll build observation skills while developing our own unique journaling style.
