Sustainability Research Initiative

The Sustainability Research Initiative (SRI) at the University of Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder was established in 2025 to harness the collective expertise of the university's diverse academic community and address pressing sustainability issues in Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô and across the nation. Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder is uniquely positioned to be a sustainability research leader, with relevant expertise across many disciplines and a strong innovation pipeline.Ìý

Sustainability Research Summit

October 8–9, 2026 • University Memorial Center

Join us for two days of celebrating sustainability research

Sessions will tackle how we build, power, and grow things; how we build community and work with partners ethically; how to think creatively; how to keep people safe; and how to overcome sociopolitical obstacles. Detailed agenda and announcement of keynote speakers coming in September.
