Universal Design for Learning Micro-Credential Course
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework developed by that helps educators proactively reduce barriers to learning and create more accessible, flexible, and inclusive learning experiences for all students.
At Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder, faculty and staff play an important role in creating learning environments that recognize and support the diversity of our students. Every learner brings a unique combination of strengths, experiences, needs, and approaches to learning. UDL provides practical strategies for anticipating that variability from the beginning, starting with how courses, learning experiences, and educational materials are designed.
By incorporating UDL principles into their work, Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder faculty and staff can provide students with multiple ways to engage with course content, access information, and demonstrate what they have learned. Rather than waiting to address barriers after they arise, UDL encourages educators to design with learner variability in mind from the outset. The result is a more inclusive learning environment that supports student agency, strengthens connections between students and instructors, and creates more opportunities for every learner to succeed.
