Gilman Scholarships

  • The enables American undergraduateÌýstudents who receive a Pell Grant to study or intern abroad through scholarships of up to $5,000.
  • Students studying critical need languages are eligible for a supplemental award up to $3,000, and students conducting STEM research abroad are eligible for a supplemental award up to $1,000.Ìý
  • The also supports child and spousal dependents of active or activated duty military members by providing awards of $5,000.

Submitting Your Gilman Application

Deadlines: Scholarships are awarded twice annually. Typically, the deadlines are in early October and early March. Plan ahead and talk to an advisor in our office for help!Ìý

  1. Research programs, mark your calendar with deadline dates and make a plan to apply.
  2. Attend a Gilman Scholarship Workshop for Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô students (see info below) and reach out to the Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder Gilman Scholarship advisor at Adilene.GarciaAniles@colorado.edu if you have questions.
  3. Submit both the application for your program and the Gilman Scholarship by the deadlines. View a .Ìý
