What You Need to Know
- In-state students: All active, registered Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô voters automatically receive a ballot in the mail a few weeks before Election Day. If you plan to vote in Boulder or in your home county, and that your ballot mailing address is up to date. Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô voters may update theirÌýÌý²¹²Ô²â³Ù¾±³¾±ð.
Ìý - Out-of-state students: You may choose to either from your home state or . You cannot register and/or vote in both locations. Many states have a registration and/or absentee ballot request deadline, so act now to receive your ballot.
Note: If you register to vote in Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô, you may be considered a Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô resident for motor vehicle registration, income tax, and jury duty purposes. Registering to vote does not automatically make you a resident for tuition purposes. Your Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder tuition classification won't change unless you take all of the necessary actions to establish residency and successfully petition for a change in residency.
Ìý - Students living on campus: Whether voting in Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô or in your home state via absentee ballot, you must use your mailbox number, not your dorm room number for your ballot to find you. Visit Boulder County's page for instructions.
