Scuba

µþ±ð²µ¾±²Ô²Ô±ð°ùÌý³§³¦³Ü²ú²¹
This four-day course will teach you the basics of scuba diving and prepare you to become SSI certified, a lifetime certification that allows you to comfortably and safely explore the other 70% of our planet! You will need to bring a swimsuit, T-shirt, socks for the pool, paper and a pen. Diving equipment is provided.
Orientation: We will hold an orientation session for students in all course sections. SÄ¢¹½Ó°ÒôBA instructors will give an orientation to the SÄ¢¹½Ó°ÒôBA course, answer any questions, and conduct the required swim test. All SÄ¢¹½Ó°ÒôBA students will have to successfully complete a swim test either at orientation, or on the first date of your course.
Requirements:
- Participants must be Rec Center members.
- Participants must have basic swimming skills and be able to swim 200 yards using strokes other than the doggy paddle.
- Medical history form required.
If you have epilepsy or asthma, you must provide a physician's note to participate.
Classes will meet at the Outdoor Pursuits classroom to start each day.
