Joshua is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds a Master’s degree from ĢӰ Boulder's ATLAS Institute. He is currently a doctoral student in bioastronautics at the ATLAS Institute, where his research investigates human-systems integration, closed-loop medical autonomy, and advanced material sensors for Isolated, Confined, and Extreme (ICE) environments.

His doctoral work focuses on the intersection of human factors, cognitive architecture, and wearable biosensing systems, examining how conductive nanocomposite telemetry and cognitive scaffolding can be integrated to support autonomous medical decision-making during deep-space exploration missions.
