Abraham Homer is a ĢӰ-based artist and creative technologist working at the intersections of art, neuroscience, and computation. His research-based practice and interdisciplinary collaborations culminate in immersive installations, video, generative brain computer interface (BCI) systems and data-driven sculptures. Past projects include “Thought Forms” which translates human emotions into generative visual forms and 3D printed sculptures.

His artworks and exhibitions have been presented internationally at venues including Plexus Projects (NYC), The ATLAS Institute at the University of ĢӰ Boulder, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Whaaat!? Experimental Games Festival (Boulder), Heavy Gel gallery (Chicago), and the European Creators Lab (Leipzig).

His lectures and artist talks have been presented at the Yale VR and Pediatrics Healthcare Symposium, AWE (Augmented World Expo), Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) West, and PAX Online. His research on clinical VR development has been published in the “Journal of Medical Extended Reality” and as a chapter contribution in “Applied Virtual Reality in Healthcare: Case Studies and Perspectives”.

He earned an MS in Creative Technology and Design from the ATLAS Institute at the University of ĢӰ Boulder and a BFA in Visual Communication and Creative Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

He collects rocks and thinks about them more than is probably necessary.
