Marja Possner

Marja (she/her) was born in South Korea and adopted to the United States as an infant. Raised as a Deaf Person of Color in a predominantly white community, her lived experiences shaped her commitment to advancing equity, accessibility, and inclusion for marginalized communities. She has more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health, with expertise spanning direct advocacy, consultation, training, leadership, and systems change across Minnesota, New York, and Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô. Marja has served in leadership roles with the Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Association of the Deaf and Deafinitely Housing, Inc., while contributing to numerous Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô state task forces focused on behavioral health reform. She is passionate about improving equitable access to services for Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Hard of Hearing communities. Outside of work, Marja enjoys cooking, baking, reading, snowboarding, paddleboarding, camping, and spending time with her pets. She is also a self-proclaimed foodie who loves discovering new restaurants and culinary experiences.
