Audra McCorkle-Geng is the American Sign Language (ASL) Program Director and an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Deaf Studies and Deaf Education at Lamar University. As a Deaf scholar, she has research interests in Deaf education, language access, ASL linguistics, and Deaf history. Her scholarly work has been presented at national conferences, with publications forthcoming in Deaf education and ASL linguistics. Drawing from both her professional and lived experiences, she is passionate about promoting accessibility, challenging misconceptions about Deaf people, and fostering meaningful dialogue between Deaf and hearing communities.
