Former Byram Distinguished Visiting Professor dies
Eberhard Gill, the 2023 Byram Distinguished Visiting Professor (DVP), has died.Ìý
A leading space engineering researcher, Gill only recently retired from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. He died July 16.Ìý
As the Byram DVP, he spent a portion of 2023 at the University of Ä¢¹½Ó°Òô Boulder collaborating with faculty and students in the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences.
He was highly regarded in the astrodynamics community and was an author on more than 200 journal articles and conference papers as well as four textbooks.
